No point for Alfa Romeo F1 at (...)

With both cars having started quite far on the starting grid at Suzuka, Alfa Romeo F1 could not bring back a single point from the Japanese Grand Prix as the race was marred by very difficult weather conditions.

Valtteri Bottas and Gunayu Zhou had visibility problems and difficulty overtaking despite a high-performance C42, and Frédéric Vasseur, the director of the Hinwill-based team, regrets this new blank result for his team.

« It was a difficult race during which the team worked in difficult conditions. We didn’t get a top 10 despite the fact that our car was fast. It was difficult to overtake despite our advantage in terms of performance, and we weren’t able to make the hoped-for progress after a bad start. »

« It’s a shame to leave Japan without a single point, but now we have to make sure we’re in the game in two weeks in Austin. We know our car is capable of fighting at the front of the midfield. , but we have to work harder to be rewarded. »

« I want to have one last thought for the Japanese fans who were incredible. Their presence made the atmosphere of this race unique, despite the weather. They were in great shape from Thursday to Sunday and we can’t wait to see them. see you next year. »
